The Stewardship Committee is pleased to announce our 2018 Avila in Action grant winners. These seven groups were selected from 24 applicants. Thank you to all applicants continuously working to change Chicago and the world through new ideas and God’s work.
This year, we are asking for input from our members to assign an additional $3000 in funding. Be sure to visit our Avila in Action Grant Winners at this year’s Ministry Fair on January 12th & 13th. Ministry fair attendees will receive a voucher good for donation dollars. Give your voucher to the organization of your choice, and we will disperse funding according to the number of vouchers received. Thank you for being a part of this important program.

About Avila in Action
Stewardship is rooted in the idea that all we have is a gift from God, and with grace we gratefully give back to God from what we have been given. In the same way the Church teaches these principles, the church itself strives to live by them.
In 2015, the Stewardship Committee along with the Finance Council made a prayerful decision to dedicate 6% of our Sunday Collections to organizations and individuals outside our own ministries who are working to change the world for the better, and to seek input from the parish on how the funds are distributed. This initiative has been named Avila in Action.
