Pope Francis has called for an Extraordinary Synod to address the topic, Pastoral Challenges to the Family in the Context of Evangelization that will take place in Rome in October of 2014.
The Holy See has asked bishops to share information about the topic as widely as possible and to provide a way for those Catholics who wish to contribute their comments and input to do so.

All responses received in the Archdiocese of Chicago will be sent to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in Washington, DC, who will pass on all collected response from dioceses throughout the country to the Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops in Rome.
ALL RESPONSES MUST BE RECEIVED BY MONDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2013.
