Early registration – $10/adults, $5/children.
At the door registration – $15/adult, $6/children.
9:00 am – 10:00 am – Children’s Mass
All children are invited to participate! We are in need of readers of the petitions, greeters, ushers, gift bearers, altar servers and singers. Contact Kate at the email above to let her know how your child might participate. All children are also invited to come to the parish center at 8:45 am before Mass on October 20, to practice singing with Jason.
10:15 am – 11:15 am – Late Night Talk Show
Meet St. Teresa! Marcia Whitney-Schenck, as St. Teresa, will be interviewed by our Late Night Talk Show Host. This is a family-friendly presentation. The audience will have a chance to ask St. Teresa of Avila questions. All (including children) are encouraged to ask St. Teresa questions.
11:15 am -12:00 pm – Lecture & Meditation
Learn all about St. Teresa’s spirituality! Lecture and guided meditation in the Parish Center for the adults. The children are invited at this time into the Youth room to participate in various prayer stations to help them appreciate St. Teresa’s spirituality.
12:00 pm -1:00 pm – Lunch Provided or Mass
1:00 pm-2:00 pm – Avila Town Hall Meeting
In the Parish Center, we take you back to the year 1513 to decide whether the town of Avila will or will not financially support a reformed convent that St. Teresa wishes to start. The Mayor of Avila will be there. Come and hear arguments on both sides and cast your vote.
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Late Night Talk Show
St. Teresa will grant another interview for those who missed the one in the morning. Come and ask her questions as she is being interviewed Late-Night-Talk-Show-style.
