It’s not too late to support St. Teresa’s Food Pantry through the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s annual Hunger Walk. Make a donation and the GCFD will match the first $5,000 we raise with a 20% donation. All proceeds we raise will come directly to us for our Food Pantry work at St Teresa.
Last year, we raised over $10,000 for our pantry. We can purchase food at significantly lower prices as a member of the Food Depository, so your donations go even further. A $100 donation, combined with the GCFD match, will buy 40 bags of groceries! The funds raised through the annual hunger walk donations fund more than half of our yearly operations.
As always, we welcome volunteers to help out with our weekly Saturday distributions. Bring your family and friends. It’s a fantastic opportunity to bring greater awareness of the need to feed the hungry, to act out our faith in serving the poor, and to meet fellow St Teresa parishioners and volunteers.
