Join us on Saturday, August 25 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm as we come together as a parish for a day of service at Su Casa Catholic Worker.
Su Casa is a house of hospitality in the Catholic Worker tradition that provides a space of healing and hope to displaced Hispanic families. Responding to the Gospel call to compassionate action, the Su Casa community is committed to a simple, non-violent lifestyle as they live and work among the poor. Tasks will be centered around the garden, and specific projects will be identified as the event draws closer. Su Casa is located at 5045 S. Laflin St. in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. We will be carpooling from St. Teresa for anyone interested in attending.
