The Epiphany of the Lord!

Thank You for Your Generosity!

A thanks to all who made Christmas at St. Teresa beautiful and gracefilled: Deacon Hector, Sergio, Irma and Tom for setting up the church, decorating and cleaning; Jason and all the cantors and musicians for their impeccable timing and harmony; the volunteers who put together Breakfast with Santa; and you – for your generous giving spirit made our liturgies prayerful. My gratitude to all of you for your generosity in the collection, a definite sign that your are committed to the financial well being of the parish.

I was surprised and moved by a special gift given to me before the 4:00 pm Mass on Christmas Eve. A number of people purchased a beautiful green vestment for me. I will wear it proudly for the first time on the weekend on the 14th-15th of January, the beginning of Ordinary Time, the season in which we wear the color green as a symbol of God’s never-ending love.

We begin 2012 with much hope and much to look forward to and plan: Lenten suppers; the showing of the series called Catholicism; an evening of reflection with Brad and Kevin about their experiences in Haiti; workshops on Easter traditions; and getting our teens to sponsor Operation Rice Bowl for Lent, just to mention a few.

May this year bring us closer to each other and to Christ.

Peace,

Fr. Frank
