Applications are now being accepted for the Ministry of Care. Volunteers in this ministry are commissioned to offer compassion, prayer and Eucharist to those who are sick and/or homebound.
Ministers of Care can visit the homebound in their home or visit patients at one of the following healthcare facilities: Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Prentice Women’s Hospital, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Warren Barr Pavilion. Initial training and on-going formation is provided. Volunteers serve weekly or on alternating weeks for approximately two hours each time.
