Discuss the Needs of Haiti, April 10th

Date: Sunday, April 10
Time: 1:00pm
Where: Parish Center

Join the Peace and Social Justice Committee on April 10th after the noon mass in the parish center to learn more about Haiti, one of the countries highlighted in this year’s Operation Rice Bowl.

The guest speakers will teach us more about the critical basic needs of the Haitian people along with the long-term, structural factors that make poverty a chronic problem in this country:

Adrienne Curry, head of Catholic Relief Services for the Archdiocese will discuss the continued need to help the people of Haiti.
Dr. Fred Richardson will give a first-hand account of his experiences serving in Haiti after the earthquake of 2010.

Enhance your Lenten experience by joining in the conversation about the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere where 2/3 of Haitians live on less than a dollar a day.

Food and beverages will be served.
